G is for Grapefruit

The other day Kayla and I were doing some letter puzzles together.  Here’s our conversation:

Mommy:  G is for goat, and Grandma, and giraffe, and grapefruit.

Kayla:  Huh?  What’s a grapefruit?

Mommy:  A grapefruit is a fruit kind of like an orange.  But you don’t like grapefruits.  You tried one last winter and you thought it was sour.

Kayla:  I would probably like grapefruit this summer with cheese on it.

So there you have it.  Kayla would like to try a grapefruit with cheese on top.  Sounds like a typical toddler meal to me!

She might like it broiled with brown sugar on it with a cherry in the middle. Cute story.

Sounds like me when I was little. I think I ate cheese on everything :) Somehow it made everything taste better. Definitely a toddler meal!
