Words You Never Want to Hear

As a mom, there are certain words you never want to hear. Such as, “Mommy, I have a rock stuck in my nose!” Luckily the “surgery” only involved a flashlight and a pair of tweezers. It could have been worse! Silly Madeline!

I used to have a goldfish that would do almost this exact same thing on a near-weekly basis—try to eat a rock, but get it stuck in its mouth. After a while I created a little loop of wire and had it ready by the fishtank.

Kids… can be more creative. I’m glad it was just a rock!
